We’re not the biggest but we try very hard to be the best!

The Moutere Plant Nursery is a small local nursery located in the sunny Moutere Valley and is a recommended supplier of Native Plants for “Trees that Count”.

Over 90% of the plants that we grow are natives with seeds eco-sourced from the Nelson/Tasman area.

The remaining 10% of our plants are exotics that John just can’t resist to grow! These include plants for hedging (Buxus, Box Honey Suckle, Ligustrum, Teucrium etc), and really exotic sub-tropical plants such as Bananas, Pineapple and Papaya plants as well as Seedless Grapes, Sweet Chestnuts, Figs etc. He is also growing Palm trees which will be ready to sell in a few years, these include Canary Palms, Nikau Palms, Bungalows and Queen Palms.
